You do not need a referral to book online or see a psychologist with Maxwell & Moore Psychology. However, if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for your sessions please continue reading (you can still book online now).

All psychologists at Maxwell & Moore Psychology are registered with Medicare.  If you wish to claim a rebate for your sessions, clients must see their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician to obtain a referral letter to receive Medicare rebates prior to their first session. With a valid referral, clients may be eligible for a rebate from Medicare for part of the session fee, which is processed after the full payment is made by the client. 

Maxwell & Moore Psychology uses E-Fax or Medical Objects to send and receive referrals. If you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) please make sure that your GP has sent us a copy of your plan or bring it with you to your appointment.  

Referrals can be faxed to (07) 3740 1290, emailed to admin@maxwellandmoore.com or sent via Medical Objects.

A non-refundable deposit of $80 is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment spot. Should you need to cancel (with more than 48 hours notice), this deposit can be credited for another session. Click here for more information regarding service fees.
